Blakeley Forest of Spanish Fort is a highly desirable neighborhood with mature trees and wide streets (whoever named the streets was a big fan of Gone with the Wind). The neighborhood is large, but that's mainly due to the fact that the estate-sized lots are larger than what you would expect to see. If you want acreage in Spanish Fort, Blakeley Forest should be first on your list of communities to visit. You'll find that some of the properties are around a half acre; however, there are many that are between 1 and 3 acres in size.
This is definitely not a "cookie cutter" neighborhood where all of the homes look exactly the same. Here, you will find styles of French Country, Traditional, Federal, and Craftsman. I believe there is a style in Blakeley Forest for everyone.
Most of the homes for sale in Blakeley Forest are large, ranging in size from 2,400 to nearly 5,000 square feet. You'll find a few homes that have 3 bedrooms, but most offer 4 and 5 bedroom options. I think that Blakeley Forest is in a great location of Spanish Fort. The community is nestled in the corner of Routes 225 and 31, and there are three entrances into the neighborhood which makes it very convenient to get home. Living here puts you within just a few minutes from the interstate, as well as all of the shopping you can handle with the Eastern Shore Centre being just 5.2 miles away. You get the feel of living in the country but yet close to everything.
In addition to all of this, you're in the highly ranked Spanish Fort school district.
