Snowbirds
Every year, thousands of winter visitors come to the Gulf Shores / Orange Beach areas to spend the cooler months in our warm balmy climate, where the winter month temperatures average around 60 degrees. These “snowbirds” (as they have affectionately been dubbed) have become an integral part of our area. Many have purchased a second home here, while others take advantage of the vast number of vacation rentals available in the area.
There are some state-specific clubs for winter snowbirds. The purpose of these clubs is to allow you to flock together with other people from your home state, if desired. Take a look at the following list to see if there’s a club for your home state:

The Gulf Coast winter weather offers the perfect setting for both indoor and outdoor activities. If you’re interested in golfing, we have some of the best golf courses in Alabama from which you can choose: All Baldwin County Golf Courses.When you’re not on the golf course, we have 32 miles of the world’s whitest beaches for your enjoyment. Or, perhaps, you would enjoy a charter boat fishing adventure. Pier fishing is also a favorite for many enthusiasts.
